Lenten vestments

Recently, the Saint Bede Studio completed a dalmatic and two concelebration chasubles, part of a Lenten Solemn Mass set for a Parish in Trenton NJ (USA), comprising several chasubles and dalmatics.

These vestments have been made from a Roman purple brocade, ornamented with another brocade in silver and black and outlined with a narrow galloon.  To increase the penitential visual effect, a chevron in black silk was added to the chasubles.

An ample dalmatic is shewn in the adjacent photograph.

Parts of the set were completed in 2011, whilst a further two chasubles were prepared for Ash Wednesday 2012 and 2013.
