The Saint Bede Studio recently completed this set of festal vestments in the 16th century style called Saint Philip Neri. They were made for a returning customer, who wished to have a set of vestments suitable for use during Nuptial Masses.
Made from a cream-coloured ecclesiastical brocade, the vestments were lined in taffeta is a subtle shade of green-gold. The ornament was formed in the Roman manner, being a tau at the front and a column at the back. A silk damask in shades of straw and taup was used to form the ornament, outlined with a simple braid in gold and rose.
